Window Design Technical Specifications Warranty Service Manual

The SUI Series window is an in-line vertical lift window with one operable sash and one fixed sash. The operable sash is the lower sash, opening upwards, and has sash balances to make opening effortless. The window is designed for exterior use but can be used indoors as well.

Window Construction

The window is constructed from proprietary designed robust anodized aluminum extrusions, high quality moving parts and tempered glass. All frames are fastened with screws, the joints are sealed and the glass is dry glazed creating a quality weatherproof product that will last for many years.

5 Year Best in Industry Warranty

Easi-Serv windows are covered by the best warranty program in the industry:

Frame, mechanical components and glazing: The aluminum window frame, locks, rollers and glazing is covered by a 60 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

**The glazing warranty does not cover scratches or breakage to glass incurred during or after installation of the window.

Electronics components: All electronics components such as circuit boards, sensors, motors and transformers are covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Painted and powder coated finishes: These coatings are covered by the original manufacturer's performance warranties. These warranties are generally for 36 months. Easi-Serv uses Tiger Drylac polyester powder coatings or Duracron liquid coatings from PPG Industries Inc.

Weatherproofing

Windows are guaranteed weatherproof. The sliding panel has double mohair weatherstrips on all sides; and the jambs interlock with the fixed panel and the side jamb. The sill is sloped toward the outside to ensure there is no water inflitration.

Opening Directions

All SUI windows with one fixed panel and one opening panel. The windows are available with either the top panel fixed and the bottom panel opening (vertical lift upwards); or with the bottom panel fixed and the top panel opening (vertical drop down).

Opening Modes

. SUI100-n Series: Fully Automatic Open/Close: Automatic windows are electro-mechanically driven with no-touch operation. Automatic opening is controlled by optical sensors and a three-position logic lock that provides for normal operation (automatic opening), peak period (locked open), and night usage (locked shut).

. SUI200-n Series: Manual Open / Manual Close: Manual windows are easy to operate and are carefully balanced to allow one-finger opening. The window features a large and easy to grab handle.

Security Features

Manual windows are fitted with Adams-Rite self closing thumb latches. Automatic windows are locked using the logic lock.

Sliding Panel Construction

All moving panels are guided using industry proven sealed bearings run on a dual rope and counterbalanced system.

Standard Glazing

All windows (moving panels and fixed panels) are glazed with 1/4" clear tempered glass panes. See the Options Tab for more glass options.

Standard Finish

The standard window frame finish is either clear anodized aluminum or dark bronze (Kawneer #40) anodized aluminum. Easi-Serv offers a broad variety of custom finishes including powder coat; high performance liquid finishes such as Duranar or Durachron, and even special wood grain finishes. See the options tab for more details.

Ready to Install

All windows are shipped pre-assembled, fully glazed and ready to install.

The SUI Series Vertical Lift Window is available in one size. However, the windows are generally built to order so custom sizes are normal.

Rough Openings:

For installation in storefront framing add 1/4" to Unit Size (1/8" to each side)

For installation in rough wood or other material add 1/2" to Unit Size (1/4" to each side)

Header Style

All automatic windows (SUI100 models) have a 7" header that houses the automation components of the window.

All manual (SUI200 models) have a 7" header. If required, the manual windows can be provided with a 3 3/4" low profile header.

Sill Style

The standard sill on all models is a 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" rectangular tube.

Other optional sill types are:

. 3/4" rectangular tube

. No sill (window must be mounted on a flush countertop)

. 2 3/4" Stainless steel base with continuous surface. This shelf is the same width as the window and can project either outside the window, inside the window or to both the inside and the outside of the window.

External Shelf

This is a stainless steel shelf that is designed to be mounted to the outside of the window. The shelf is made from 18ga Stainless Steel with a brushed finish. The shelf is manufactured to match the width of the window, is 12" wide and 2 3/4" thick. All corners are welded.

Custom Shelves

We can make stainless steel shelves of any dimension to fit inside the window, outside the window or to be an integral shelf below the window. Shelves are made of 18ga stainless steel with a brushed finish. All corners are welded.

Glazing

The standard glass in all models is a 1" insulated glass unit with a make up of 1/8" Clear Tempered Glass, 3/4" air, 1/8" Clear Tempered Glass.

Alternate glazing available at no extra cost includes:

. 1/4" Clear Annealed Laminated Glass

Alternate glazing available at addition cost includes:

. Low-E coating
. Colour tinted glass (insulated glass units and single glass)
. Spandrel (insulated glass units)

Finish

The standard finish on all models is either a Clear Class II Anodized Finish or a Dark Bronze Anodized Finish.

Other optional finishes are:

All windows can also be finished in custom colours using one of a number of different finish types.

We can also finish your window with a stunning simulated wood grain coating. This finish uses a special powder coating process that uses die sublimation technology from Akzo Nobel.

The Jet Series air curtain is a combined air curtain and heater that can be installed above any of the in-line style of window. The air curtain is surface mounted and has a separate controller for the fan and heater. The unit is white. Two models are available depending on the width of the service opening.
