The SS Series window is a premium in-line side sliding window with one opening panel and one fixed panel.

Window Construction

The window is constructed from proprietary designed robust anodized aluminum extrusions, high quality moving parts and tempered glass. All frames are fastened with screws, the joints are sealed and the glass is wet glazed (exterior) and dry glazed (interior) creating a quality weatherproof product that will last for many years.

5 Year Best in Industry Warranty

Easi-Serv windows are covered by the best warranty program in the industry:

- Frame, mechanical components and glazing: The aluminum window frame, locks, rollers and glazing is covered by a 60 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

**The glazing warranty does not cover scratches or breakage to glass incurred during or after installation of the window.

- Electronics components: All electronics components such as circuit boards, sensors, motors and transformers are covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

- Painted and powder coated finishes: These coatings are covered by the original manufacturers performance warranties. These warranties are generally for 36 months. Easi-Serv uses Tiger Drylac poly­ester powder coatings or Duracron liquid coatings from PPG Industries Inc.

Weatherproofing

Standard windows are guaranteed weatherproof. The sliding panel has double mohair weatherstrips on all sides; and the jambs interlock with the fixed panel and the side jamb. The sill is sloped toward the outside to ensure there is no water infiltration.

ETL Listed Product

The Window has been certified by ITS ETL SEMKO. This certification mark indicates that the window has been tested and has met the requirements of a widely recognized U.S and Canadian product safety standard.

Opening Directions

All windows in-line side sliders are made with one fixed panel (O) and one opening panel (X).  The windows are available with either OX (right to left) or XO (left to right) operation when viewed from outside.

 Opening Modes

SS100 Series:  Fully Automatic Open/Close:  Automatic windows are electro-mechanically driven with no-touch operation.  Automatic opening is controlled by optical sensors and a three-position logic lock that provides for normal operation (automatic opening), peak period (locked open), and night usage (locked shut).

SS200 Series: Manual Open / Manual Close:  Manual windows are easy to operate and are carefully balanced to allow one-finger opening.  The window features a large and easy to grab handle.

SS300 Series: Manual Open / Self-Close: Self-Closing windows open manually and close automatically when the handle is released. The window features a large and easy to grab handle.

Security Features

All windows are fitted with a drop down security bar which prevents the sliding panel from moving when the window is locked.

-  Manual and self-closing windows are fitted with Adams-Rite self-closing thumb latches.

-  Automatic windows are locked using a mechanical plunger lock that electronically controls the window’s three opening modes: Night Latch; disables optic sensor and engages mechanical plunger lock, Peak Period; keeps the window open, and Neutral; window operates open/close via optic sensor.
The window can also be fitted with an optional security feature that limits window opening to 10 1/2”.

- The interlocking jambs and sill guide prevent forced entry using a pry bar.

Sliding Panel Construction

The sliding panel is hung from its top edge using industry proven sealed roller bearings running on an Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) guide track that never wears out.

Standard Glazing

The standard glass in all models is a 1" insulated glass unit with a make up of 1/8" clear tempered glass, 3/4" space bar, 1/8" clear tempered glass. See the options tab for more glass options.

Standard Finish

The standard window frame finish is either clear anodized aluminum or dark bronze (Kawneer #40) anodized aluminum.  Easi-Serv offers a broad variety of custom finishes including powder coat; high performance liquid finishes such as Duranar or Durachron, and even special wood grain finishes.
